School Days

On September 4th, Bryce started to pre-school at Early Arts! More like a mommy's day out program! He is doing fantastic! His teachers are Miss Laurie and Miss Michelle and they say he has adjusted very well to their routine! They have a little craft each day and also have a little music lesson. I drop him off at 8:30am and either my mom or Miss Debbie pick him up. I am so excited to see what the year brings. He has already had his first fever virus and it didn't last long at all so maybe the year won't be too bad where sickness is concerned. Back to the Beach

Jon and I decided spur of the moment a few weeks ago that we would like to take Bryce back to the beach because he loved it so much back in June. So, we booked the room and hit the road! It is amazing how fast our little stinker is growing. He still loves the sand, still loves the water, and of course the pool. He is talking more and more every day and it is just obvious that he totally understands everything going on around him and wants to be right in the middle of it. He has been saying daddy and mommy for a while now but his new thing at the beach was saying...Mom-eeee, Dad-eeee. So cute. He still loves shoes and he loves to put shorts and shirts on by himself (or atleast try). We barely escaped Hurricane Isaac's wrath. We had BE-U-TIFUL weather!! It could not have been any more perfect. Jon and I both agreed that this is definitely the time of year to go. The only thing we had on the agenda was to take Bryce to the Destin Commons pirate party. They had just completed a new pirate playground perfect for toddlers and they had all kinds of fun things planned for the little ones including a "real" pirate, a magic show, songs, and face painting. Otherwise, we played on lots of playgrounds on and off the beach, spent lots of quality time together as a family, and ate lots of great seafood. It's an understatement to say that Bryce had a blast! Chuck-E-Cheese and Children's Museum of the Shoals

We have had a fun Summer with our little man! A few weeks ago, we took him to Chuck-E-Cheese's. He was not a fan of Chuck-E-Cheese and friends, however he did take a liking to Clifford. Here are some pics from our trip!

We also went to our friend Caroline's 3rd birthday party at the Children's Museum of the Shoals. We are definitely going to have to go back. He had a blast as you can see from the pictures.

18 Month Milestone!!

Our precious boy is now 18 months old! A very active, healthy 18 month old thank the Lord! He was in the 10th percentile for weight which is great for him, the 75th for height, and 50th for head circumference. Dr. Crenshaw said had it not been for his heart defect, he would have a very boring chart. He is babbling more and more every day! He loves shoes like his momma and also does pretty well putting his toys away after he is done playing! Yay! His favorite song is Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes. Also, Itsy Bitsy Spider and Wheels on the Bus! Since I am working part time now, we have been going to a program called Babies Love the Library on Fridays. I am so thankful that he loves books and enjoys being around other children. He will start to Mother's Day Out in September at Early Arts. I have no doubt that he will love it......Like Jon said tonight, he's not a baby anymore, he's growing into a precious little boy. Counting our Blessings tonight:)

Hole in One

Bryce got a hole in one. Not your typical hole in one, but nevertheless, it's true. Jon's surround sound speakers have one speaker that sits on the floor that is for the bass. It has a large hole on the bottom.....just the perfect size for a ball to fit in......and stay! It is not budging so we just gave up and left it! LOL Enjoy the pics. Jon and I have agreed that this is just the first of many dilemmas such as this.......

Bryce's papa also got a hole in one this summer....but it was a real one! Congrats Papa!

Coast to Coast Fun

Ok people, so the title is Coast to Coast fun but one of those weeks was training in San Fran which really was fun but hard work. June 9-16, we were on Destin, Florida vacationing with family. Besides having to do a little bit of home study for my new job, we had a relaxing, fun-filled week. We swam, played on the beach (Bryce loved it), shopped, ate lots of seafood, went to the zoo, rode on 3 trains, and went on a sunset dolphin cruise! Despite all the fun, we are glad to be back home.
