Great News from Dr. Israel

Bryce, my mom, and I headed to Huntsville yesterday to see Bryce's pediatric cardiologist, Dr. Israel! We got great results!! After taking a look during the echo, he informed us that the narrowing in Bryce's pulmonary artery was fine and that he will just continue to watch it. Although there is a small chance he may have to have another open heart to repair this artery, it is not a given and how it stands now, he can live a long, healthy life and be fine. We also discussed physical activity as he grows and gets more active. He is not going to be limited in the least bit! The only sport that Dr. Israel is not really keen on is football, but many of his patients born with transposition are playing and are doing just fine. The fact that he doesn't recommend it is totally fine with us. I was never huge on the idea of Bryce getting knocked around anyway;) He is such a joy and we are so very thankful for this amazing blessing. Next cardiology appointment.....JUNE 2013! Woo Hoo!!
